From the President's Desk
The tragic earthquake in Haiti has brought an outpouring of donations to relief agencies in our country. The response is not surprising since citizens of the USA are quick to lend a helping hand to people in need. That has a lot to do with our fabric as a nation which was built upon Biblical principles. Though in many ways we have drifted off course, the sights of suffering people often brings us back to principle of loving mercy. Like many others, my wife and I gave through a Christian relief organization that will meet physical and spiritual needs in Haiti. But should it take an earthquake to shake our hearts in that way? For the Christian, demonstrating grace shouldn't just be second nature - it is the fabric of our new nature! God has lavished his grace upon us (Eph. 1:8 ). Grace is now a part of our makeup, the fruit of a life that is "created in Christ Jesus to do good works" (Eph. 2:10 ). We now have the unique privilege of making known the gospel of God's grace through both the message we proclaim and our acts of grace to those around us.
Grace in Action! This will be our rally cry in 2010 as the GGF proclaims the gospel of God's grace through word and deed. We are surrounded by people who need to hear of the saving grace of God through faith in Christ and by shattered lives longing to be touched by we who are instruments of God's grace. Let's let God's love and grace flow through us to impact our needy world for Him.
God's grace is breaking through - be a part of His movement!
In Christ's amazing grace,
